Reporting your Complications

NHS National Patient Safety Agency

If you have suffered from complications following TVT surgery, you should report these in the first instance to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and they will record them on their database and may also investigate your adverse events if appropriate.  Please see link to earlier post on how to report complications to the MHRA.

To increase awareness of the problems associated with these meshes, you can also inform the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA).  This agency does not investigate individual complaints, but “listens to patients’ experiences” so they can “use the information to improve safety”.

Go to this link to report your complications:

Your report to the NPSA is anonymous.
