Manufacturers of TVT Mesh Sponsor UK Continence Society Conference

The manufacturers of transvaginal mesh kits for stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse regularly sponsor major events attended by gynaecologists, urogynaecologists and urologists. One such event will be taking place from 18th – 20th April 2012: the UK Continence Society (UKCS) 19th Annual Scientific Meeting 2012 in Liverpool.

This event is financially supported by a number of exhibitors and sponsors, including Ethicon who manufacture the TVT tape.

The second day of the conference programme includes a symposium (session) supported by ‘medal investor’, Ethicon Women’s Health.  Medal investors receive additional profile and benefits in association with this event.

The Exhibition and Sponsorship Prospectus explains to potential sponsors how the event is expected to attract 300 delegates which “confirms the importance of this event to all grades of staff working in the field of the promotion of continence” and therefore the “event’s significance for contact with specialists and the promotion of equipment and services”.   The document details how sponsors can “contribute to teaching sessions” and sponsor educational events throughout the event, and in return receive ‘high profile’ for their product and services.  The prospectus also explains how sponsors can assist with the “support of delegates to attend such educationally important Conferences”.

A highlight of the event is the Gala Dinner and Dance “when all the specialities get together along with the exhibitors and sponsors for a great networking evening“.
